About Crust & Culture
Where American favorites meet the flavors of Argentina. 🇦🇷🤍🇺🇸
Hi! I’m Flor, the baker behind Crust & Culture Bakeshop.
I’m originally from Argentina and now call Gainesville, Florida home. My love of baking has always been closely tied to family, tradition, and sharing food with the people I love. In fact, I like to joke that I won my husband’s heart through his stomach — and somewhere along the way, that love of feeding the people around me grew into Crust & Culture.
Crust & Culture is my way of bringing together the best of both worlds: the comforting flavors I grew up with in Argentina and the American favorites that have become part of my life here.
Everything is made from scratch in small batches — from naturally fermented sourdough and fresh breads to cookies and traditional Argentine treats like alfajores and pepitas. Some recipes come from home, some I've discovered along the way, and others have become favorites around my own family table.
Why “Crust & Culture”?
Because food carries culture.
A loaf of bread, a familiar cookie, or a spoonful of dulce de leche can bring back a place, a person, or a memory. Food connects us to where we came from while giving us something new to share with the people in our lives today.
That's what Crust & Culture is about: two cultures, one kitchen, and food made to bring people together.
Thank you for supporting my small Gainesville bakery and letting me share a little piece of my home with yours. 💙
